I would like to make use of an iPad within the classroom as many of my students use Apple products at home whether it is an iPhone or their own personal iPad. By having this product within the classroom, I will be able to show students how to utilize this piece of technology as an instructional tool outside of the classroom while at home. I will also be able to utilize many of the applications that are within the Apple Store that are associated with our Math curriculum that students do not have access to on their Chromebooks. I did not request a class bundle of iPads being that we utilize Chromebooks within the classroom, but I also plan on utilizing this iPad as an incentive for students. Many students are familiar with Apple products and all they have to offer. Also, considering the current situation with Covid, with proper sanitation each day students will have the opportunity to use a form of technology that they do not use in school on a daily basis. I also have many students that are interested in creating videos, graphics, and media for fun. This iPad would prove to be very beneficial in doing such within the classroom during down time. Not only will this enhance their technological skills, but it will motivate students to work hard academically and behaviorally if they want time to use the iPad.
