I teach English 9 & Contemporary Literature at Midd-West High School. The contemporary lit portion of class means that my kids need a wide variety of books to choose from. The goal is to just read and enjoy reading. Every other day my kids get a dedicated 40 minutes to just sit and readwhich means they go through a lot of books. My classroom library is filled with books but there's always a demand for more. When I polled my kids at the beginning of the year, they told me what they wanted and its been my mission to find the perfect book for each kid. I'm determined to spark the love of reading in my 9th graders and to do that I'm going to need all the books I can get!
