With Covid restrictions, many of my students are sitting all-day while in school. My goal is to be able to provide them with the option to work at a standing desk or a high top table. By providing them with the flexible seating option at the high school level, many of my students will become more engaged in learning. This is ever important as many students struggle in their high school mathematics courses. If this is one thing I can do to better support my students learning environment, then I will do it! Students will be able to choose to sit or stand while working on their Algebra or Geometry lessons. Students love using manipulatives like rules, protractors, and compasses to draw diagrams and create real-life examples of what they are learning. Having the option to stand up to measure, draw, and create will help cultivate the best possible learning experiences in my classroom.
