After a year of uncertainty and stress, social emotional development and focus is key to keep students on the path to success. Our class has been working on learning and applying different breathing techniques and calm down matras in order to help adjust to social and emotional situations that take us out of our comfort zone. Having iPads in the classroom will allow students to move around and gain access to those videos as needed in order to gain independence in calming themselves down. Individual headsets that allow for cancelation of outside stressors and distractions will help to keep students on task and reduce behaviors across the school day. Student will be able to have their own headset and not have to share with one another, decreasing any worries after a year of a global pandemic.
