Students need to be immersed in a wide variety of books that they will dive into and develop a love of reading. During the pandemic, with school closed and public libraries closed, it has become more challenging to ignite a love of reading. I plan to match students with books and deliver them to the students at home so they have books to read during distance learning. When we return to face-to-face instruction, I plan to make sure these middle school students always have at least two books with them so when we switch to distance learning at a moment's notice, they have reading materials.
