The books on the list are some of the best, and most engaging novels in children's literature! By having access to great books, the kids will be able to not only lose themselves in the magical world of story but also develop their reading comprehension, fluency, inference, and writing skills. Not only that, they will begin their journey to a lifelong love of books and the written word! Books can provide a safe haven for children in an ever-changing world. Growing up, the world can be a confusing place, but finding relatable protagonists, such as Percy Jackson, Matilda, and Bud Caldwell can provide students with the tools necessary to navigate their environment. Having a fully stocked, diverse library on tap, in the class provides easy escapism while addressing many standards. When your child is in my room, I want them to feel safe, loved, and excited. A rich classroom library is a huge step towards accomplishing this goal.
