At New Haven Academy, located on the James Logan High School campus in Union City, CA, I work with 160 determined high school students enrolled in our credit recovery program. These students are completing Edgenuity online courses in-person to earn the credits they need for high school graduation eligibility. Our class is filled with resilient, motivated young people who are working hard to overcome academic setbacks. Many balance school with personal challenges, jobs, or family responsibilities, yet they show up ready to learn and push toward their goals. What makes them special is their perseverance and belief that graduation is worth every ounce of effort. In our program, focus and engagement are key to success. The right learning tools help students stay on task, retain information, and complete courses on time. My classroom provides the supportive, distraction-free environment they deserve.
