My students are amazing! They have managed to make it through our first quarter of e-learning! As we have gone, we are all learning what makes our school day work better. E-learning has posed challenges for our students, especially my diverse learners. There are so many resources on the Internet, as well as awesome presentations my co-teacher and I have prepared, to teach to our students needs. However, one big challenge I have found is when presenting any material to my class in a virtual meeting, I am unable to see my class. This is more challenging when working with diverse learners and English Language Learners. You can learn a lot from looking at your students while teaching. It is easier to be engaged and keep students engaged. You can read students' expressions who may be confused and easily acknowledge students who raise their hands to ask or answer questions. Working with one computer screen does not allow for this to happen easily. Having a second screen will allow me to present my lessons while still seeing my students and helping my students stay engaged.
