Like many schools this year, we have experienced full-remote, in-person, synchronous hybrid, and asynchronous learning in the first 3 months of school. As we are preparing for the roller coaster to continue, my 4th graders are learning to manage themselves and be responsible for the materials that must go home each night -just in case we can’t return to the building without notice. Digital resources are wonderful, but sometimes students need pencils and hard copies of materials in their hands. For this reason, each student is learning to manage their own binder of physical materials. Help me teach my students organization and management skills during this season of uncertainty. A fully funded project will provide: • Tools needed to maintain and manage physical materials that will travel home and back with students daily (3-hole punch, staplers, tape dispensers, scissors, a classroom pencil sharpener, pencil bags), • Replacement consumables for when materials must be prepared and sent home with students (manila envelopes, ink, paper), • Literacy materials for special needs students (magnetic letters, multisensory tools, trays), • An AV Cart and wireless keyboard & mouse to aid in teacher mobility and visibility for online and in-person students simultaneously.
