I teach art to elementary school students in a district that has allocated all of its financial resources to technology this year. Unfortunately, this has left zero dollars for art supplies. Thankfully, these young artists have been provided pencils, crayons, and scissors from local charities and the district has provided copy paper for art making purposes. Yet, students love to paint! Period. Every year I ask them which art medium excites them the most and painting is always on top of the list. I do not have 156 sets of paint to distribute while we are learning from home. I am asking you to help make this happen. We have been creating many projects this year expressing our thoughts and feelings about the pandemic. My students would be overjoyed to receive a water color paint set to help make meaningful art this year.
