Our school has been fielding a championship soccer team for the last four years. We are a small school, that frequently plays against schools that are at least three times our population and have stronger support systems in place. Our student-athletes put in countless hours of hard work and dedication in order to win. As the varsity coach, I have spent my entire life playing soccer. I have played semi-professional, and at the college level. I personally know the impact of soccer and the power that being on a team has. Within the last couple of years, our school population has grown. In current times we have tried to adapt to virtual learning and COVID. Our student's families have been hit hard and suffered tremendously. As for our athletic program, funds have not been able to cover the equipment needed for soccer. We have many students who cannot afford their own bags, sweats, or warmup gear. Soccer is played during cold nights and many students don’t have jackets to help keep them warm during a game and we are asking for a set of matching jackets and warmup suits. We have three teams who need your help in acquiring basic needs to play soccer. Thank you in advance. Your support is helping to teach our students that they are not alone, they have a community.
