During this time of social distancing, I need to be able to share books, papers and other curriculum related things without touching. With a document camera, I can demonstrate and share so many things without the need for the students to handle materials. I can share items from every area of the curriculum such as math manipulatives, books for literacy instruction, samples of student work. Students can have a clear view of the materials I will be using to teach. I can use a document camera in the classroom and at home for distance learning. It will make teaching from home and Zoom lessons more engaging for the students when we can share books and other items. When the pandemic is over, a document camera is still a useful teaching tool to share items on a large screen.
