These materials will make a huge impact in the student's lives as well as the families. Every day, the students log into their computer and participate in remote learning. Not having the face to face interaction with their peers and not being able to complete hands on activities within a classroom is difficult for the students. It will impact the social emotional well being of the students. Making slime and making gingerbread will show the students that even during times of social distancing, we can still do hands on activities as a class family, and that fun, joy and laughter will continue no matter if we are near or far. It will aid in the students stress relief, families can join and have a sense of joy and peace during this time of uncertainty and distancing. These materials will remove the idea of being out of a "building" and will continue to show fun and community within the learning environment.
