Our students tend to have high anxiety, feel disconnected from their peers and school, and lack opportunities for positive interactions with peers and adults. Esports is the gateway to interest and connection with school for students. The sport helps build positive student-teacher relationships, captures students interest, and challenges them to think critically and problem-solve collaborative on the fly. Students work as a team to research opponents strengthens and weaknesses and develop a plan for success on game day. The Nintendo Switch will bring gaming opportunities, allow students to connect with peers and school, and foster school spirit while giving students access to STEM learning and interest.
