During the COVID epidemic and while we navigate the return to school, masks are lifelines for students and teachers coming back into the building safely. As a school nurse, I am striving for a safe return. Our school is comprised of special education students and they want and need to be in the classroom, learning. Masks allow for that safe return! In preparation to return, our school has put forth and orchestrated, implemented many safety guidelines, but we now know that MASKS are the biggest need along with social distancing and hand hygiene.
