Having a tablet will allow for me to record my lessons for students who have become home quarantined due to COVID-19. This allows for them to see myself teach as if they were in class. Additionally, features such as being able to write on the tablet will allow for further clarification when talking about the chemical structures of food. I will be able to draw pictures on my PowerPoint and visually given them details about what structures of food look like and what the body does to break it down. Furthermore, due to our schools demographics we do not have a one to one school in reference to Chromebooks. Having an extra tablet in class allows for student who do not have a Chromebook to access online material in my classroom. Allowing students to have access to online resources is a great way to keep them engaged and caught up.
