Technology has never been more important in education than it is right now. I have both distance learners and in-person learners and I Zoom with them simultaneously each day. During math and literacy, I can use my Elmo to project student work with one screen and show my presentation with another. This screen will allow me to utilize multiple programs at once without having to minimize screens which can be confusing as a teacher and for students. My students will benefit from this by being able to master the skills I am teaching without continuous distractions and delays in switching from program to program. Having only one screen available is so challenging and makes it difficult to teach engaging lessons. Switching from screen to screen and sharing my screen is very distracting to young learners. By adding an additional monitor, I can project my distance learners on one screen and project lesson materials on another. Also, I would like to get headphones so that I can hear my online students more clearly and they can hear me.
