I will use a virtual gameboard to give my students points for recognizing letters, reading words, and blending sounds. A second monitor will help me keep track of this gameboard and show students their scores without having to click through 20 screens or tabs. During small group time, students will use the gameboard to stay motivated and compete with each other. The game will help students stay engaged with word work even though there's a vast physical distance between them. A second monitor allows me to have more resources ready to drag over and eliminates loading time. Help my students learn while having fun! With slow internet speeds in many of my students' households, I aim to cut out as much unnecessary loading time as possible. Having windows and tabs open on my second monitor ready to drag over at a moment's notice helps reduce wasted minutes.
