The book "The One and Only Ivan" will allow the students to have a new experience with reading. This would be a form of text that is not within a textbook. It would engage my fifth grade students in having an experience in a book club setting. My class will use the books as learning material from home. With the world being so virtual, a book club experience is something that will make the students excited to learn. It will give my students new perspective as to what a book is, since it is different from the textbooks that they read stories from on a weekly basis.
