Our school library is always adding to our collection and we are always trying to diversify our selections of books. Our goal is to offer books that reflect the students in our school, as well as broaden their worldview and offer them a glimpse into the lives of others. Help me give the students at my school high-quality books that represent strong, black characters. These books will be added to our school's library and will be available for use by all of our students and teachers. Every decision that we make as teachers has consequences and impact our students. In our library and our school we want our students to know and believe that they are strong individuals who can cultivate positive change in our culture. Purchasing books that matter is part of that process.
