For Spanish 1, we would use these glasses to explore the Spanish speaking countries that the students are learning about based on the Georgia curriculum. For Spanish 2, we would use the glasses during the travel unit to really look at several destinations, so that students will be inspired to truly learn the language so they can travel easily in other countries. Most of our students qualify for free lunch and have never been outside of Georgia, I want to show them the places they can go if they apply themselves. I want to make these places real for them and not something that is intangible to them on the other side of the world. I was personally inspired to learn Spanish because my mother was a travel agent. She afforded me the opportunity to see other countries and I grew to appreciate different Hispanic cultures.
