As a school counselor I know that the last eight months have been especially difficult for my students and their families. It is my job and passion to ensure that their social-emotional well-being is taken care of. I am asking for materials not only for their use but for my professional development as well. I work with students and families dealing with trauma, loss, self-harm, depression, anxiety, violence, self-regulation and social-skills. My goal is to ensure feelings of safety and confidence within my students when faced with life's obstacles. I am asking for a variety of professional resources, such as books to increase my skill set in dealing with complicated issues. This includes treatment planning and student workbooks they can use to process and express complicated feelings in a healthy way. I also included therapeutic games to enhance individual therapy sessions.
