In order for students to learn to read and practice the skills that they are learning, they need books to read. Most of my students do not have books to read in their homes. I would like to provide them with books to encourage them to read every day and to foster a love of reading. By donating to my project you will be helping all of my students get books to read at home that will not only help them become better readers but will also teach them important lessons. The books that I have chosen teach about kindness and promote our anti-bullying message. There are books that focus on STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art, math) topics, and of course, there are classic titles by famous authors. I want my students to be fluent readers and to love reading. Having books at home during virtual learning gives them that opportunity.
