My student want and need to move! These flexible seats are the perfect fit for our COVID compliant classroom this year. As students work, they get tired of sitting in their assigned desk. They are required to be in the same seat all day long because of the pandemic. This is very unfortunate, because these kids need to move! As students feel like they are getting antsy, they would be able to simply move to their floor chair. In my past years, I have always allowed flex seating in my classroom; simply having a student change positions can allow them to better focus and be more engaged, which can result in a much more productive day! As an adult, I know I can focus much better when I am sitting comfortably, and I personally, cannot focus for long at all when I am sitting in the same position all day! These seats would allow my students to have an option to move around within the classroom more, while still adhering to the COVID cleaning guidelines, as I would be able to wipe the chairs clean, just like the standard desks and chairs are.
