In kindergarten the students love using whiteboards and it makes learning fun! Using white boards in math helps us with making mistakes because we can erase it easily. These white boards will be used to practice writing our letters and our numbers. Play-Doh helps children with their fine-motor, creativity, language, and cognitive skills. The children build the muscles in their hands as they squeeze, roll, and shape the Play-Doh. This is a perfect activity for writing. As children create masterpieces they talk about what they are creating. Their language is rich as they talk about their art. As they get older and more skilled, they start to create a plan and then work hard to see their plan through. This is great for cognitive and executive functioning skills. Now that you see all the hidden magic built into the joy of playing with Play-Doh, I hope you can help me get a set of four colors into the hands of all of my students. The organizational cart will be used to store all the clay and the magnetic whiteboards as well as other phonics and math learning materials to use in small group.
