“We need technology in every classroom and every student and teacher’s hand, because it is the pen and paper of our time, and it is the lens through which we experience much of our world.”-David Warlick iPads can be powerful tools for assisting children with special needs and disabilities. They can provide one-on-one instruction while the teacher assist other students. Children with attention deficit disorders can focus more effectively on their learning tasks. Autistic children can use I-Pads to improve their communications and interactions with peers as they use them together. There are instructional resources my students can use to follow along during the lesson. The iPads can help them stay caught up with their peers in the general education setting. There are educational programs they can use during their free time.
