Physical activity, especially through sports participation, has been linked to personal and social development and fostering a healthy lifestyle. Working on gross motor skills, such as tossing/catching a ball or jumping rope, not only helps a child gain physical strength but it aids in boosting social/emotional confidence. On a daily basis my students are provided opportunities to engage in outdoor recess. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, we are unable to utilize the playground therefore gross motor equipment, such as a physical development kit and soccer set, will be great tools to help my students ‘move it, move it!’

About my class
