I teach students with special needs, specifically in the Specific Learning Disabled population. Though they enjoy all the online learning resources that are being offered to them in our virtual classes, they are still missing the conventional pencil and paper learning modes. The school supplies from this project will be distributed to each of my students so that they can explore more learning modalities other than visual, like kinesthetic and tactile. The dry erase clipboards will especially be useful during our Math classes, when they are working out their Math problems. The student clocks will help them achieve their goals of telling time using an analog clock. The multiplication flashcards will enable them to master their multiplication table faster. The notebooks will be essential in our Language Arts class. They will be able to put their thoughts into writing and feel better about themselves as they are able to write more entries on their journals. The art supplies will also be so much appreciated as many of my students like to express themselves through visual art. The donations to this project will enhance my students' learning styles, encourage engagement, and increase motivation. If they don't have to worry about supplies, they can focus more on the task at hand, which is to learn, learn, and learn. My ultimate goal is for my students to achieve their learning goals.
