It has been said that play is the work of children. I firmly believe this and in the importance of learning through play. With the current restrictions requiring social distancing and forbidding the sharing of toys and materials, it is increasingly more difficult to keep my young students engaged. Instead of the children being able to move through different play centers, such as the art center, science center, and block center, my students are required, according to our state's reopening plan, to sit at a table with an activity. These new items will allow for more learning opportunities.
