Yoga and meditation are common ideas that my students have come up with for calming down and getting their creative brain juices flowing. I wholeheartedly believe they are right! The yoga mats will be used for morning meditation; before starting class work, and for cooling down at the end of the day, from all of that days hard work. Some students will need to use them on their own if a situation arises, where they need a minute to themselves. Giving students a way to relax their minds and bodies will help in the creative learning process and with life skills.
