With distance learning at the moment, students will use some of the equipment to exercise at home and keep track of how they are doing with their running log. Some of the gear will be used for race days so they can feel and look good. Most students at our school do not have the funds to have proper running equipment. A lot of my girls show up to the first day of practice with the basic gear. With the help of these donations, they will see how much a proper pair of running socks makes a difference. I have seen this club help them in many ways beyond just being athletes. It has helped many improve as students in the classroom. It has kept many of them of the streets away from bad influences. It especially helps them with their self esteem and be confident.
