I teach music to middle school students in an urban classroom. My students love learning about the music and culture from countries around the world. It is challenging for them to get the full experience from videos alone. I would love to have instruments from several countries in my classroom for them to see and hear in person. The instruments on my list will give them a more authentic learning experience in regard to world music. They are ones that I have taught before, and will be teaching about again in the future. I hope to slowly grow my collection to someday have dozens of instruments representing every continent.
