This year, I'm art on the cart instead of teaching art in the art room. As we create art in the classrooms, we have had to find unique ways to be able to use a variety of materials to create our art rather than using the basic crayons and markers. Many students are excited to explore creating art through painting, but it needs to be a safe, easy way to paint and needs to provide a quick and easy clean-up in their classroom. The serving trays will be used to help students be safe, have a clean area to create and learn and store their work of art. Students are in their classrooms the majority of the day learning, creating and they even eat lunch at their desks. The trays will be used to hold their papers allowing students to paint without creating a mess on their desk. During clean up, these trays will help create an easy transition to clean up, store their papers on a drying rack and create easy access to passing their work out at the beginning of the next class. Efficient clean up will allow students to have more time to create their masterpieces. The combs will allow students to explore different painting techniques and create expressive paintings during our lessons.
