I am a former classroom teacher turned art teacher and I am living my dream! Because I taught 2nd, 3rd, 5th and 6th grades I understand the importance of merging art and the content curriculum and I do so daily in the art room. My dream project now is to combine science and art but creating pinch pots that amplify sound! Everyone has made a pinch pot in their lifetime. Its cute and can serve a purpose for decoration or your little trinkets! What if your pinch pot could be used as a speaker for your music! With the air dry clay, the students can quickly create pinch pots within our class period and it will be ready to paint when they return. I am so excited about this project and I know my students will be as well!
