I put a lot of time and effort into building and cultivating an environment (in person and on the interweb) that is beyond beneficial for my students – I can only hope that it makes a positive difference to them. In this interweb world we find ourselves in, and the platform my district is using (Microsoft TEAMS), I would be able to use the items in my “wish list” to efficiently and accurately communicate to my students (whether they’re sitting in front of me or living in my computer). I have the technological skillset to put these items to good use during my planning for future engaging lessons and to offer clear, quick and accurate guidance to my students. I will continue to challenge them to push themselves the best way that I have learned how – to speak with them in a way that motivates them to believe in themselves. I will continue to learn and put myself in a position where I can be the most help to my students. I will remain consistent and clear, while still being engaging for the students to more easily access their own focus and interests that will help them do their best! There is a bigger project I have planned, which is to provide a class set of 30 Microsoft Surface Go tablets, 30 USB ethernet adapters, 30 Microsoft Pens, Ethernet switch to accommodate 30 wired connections to the internet, surge protectors, a cart to house these tablets, extended warranty, etc. The students are, most certainly, our future so we might as well afford them the opportunity to learn and use the technological tools today to better prepare them to create that future.
