Keeping track of your heart rate can give you insight into your fitness level, heart health, and emotional health. Tracking your heart rate is a new concept I am teaching to my students. In order to explain this, I have already ordered some heart rate monitors to help track their hearts are doing during gym class. Now I am just missing an iPad to monitor their heart rates and also show them visually just how their hearts are working. The monitors I purchased are Polar monitors and require an iPad to connect and see the whole class at one time. Due to limited funding, I am only able to purchase a few heart rate monitors at this time and do not have the further funds to purchase an iPad on my own. By donating to this project, I will be able to track and show the students their heart rates during my class. I believe it would be very helpful for my students to get to monitor the rate of their heart during class and throughout the day. Not only is it helpful and useful, but it will also encourage them to stay active! This is something I have been wanting to provide for my students and I am hoping to get this funded in order to do just that!
