Project: Although we have been practicing through our virtual learning about wearing masks, students do not understand the importance of social distancing, washing hands, wearing masks properly and keeping them on. I am seeking assistance with purchasing 12 sneeze shields for students’ desks. This project will assist in ensuring that we are doing our best to keep students protected from exposure of COVID-19. My students have been dealt a challenging hand and it is my sincere goal to protect them from any and all risks while at school. These desk sneeze shields will help us with minimizing exposure and keeping students’ safe and remaining healthy while at school. Through these difficult times, students desperately need to be able to have face to face instruction in order for their skills to not regress. These shields would be of great use being that we are in a very small classroom with limited space which prevents us from being able to properly social distance according to the CDC guidelines and recommendations. Any amount that you can donate for this worthy cause will be greatly appreciated and will assist with providing student with special needs opportunities to social interact with peers and connect with each other in a safe and healthy learning environment.
