This year my students are learning at home during the pandemic and do not have the crucial resources that are needed to best visualize first grade math concepts such as adding and subtracting up to 10, and adding parts to make a whole. These magnetic ten frames will be crucial for my students to learn math concepts in a hands-on manner than virtual learning does not provide them with. The magnetic ten frames will set my first graders up for success in math and prepare them for math beyond first grade.
