Distance learning has made it extremely difficult to do writing for our children. Many of the students do not have the materials they need to practice writing. This project will insure that the children will have the materials that they need at home to engage in writing activities. It is hard for children to be engaged in a google meet classroom through distance learning, but by providing materials in their hands to participate during group time would be beneficial. The dry erase boards and gel boards can be used over and over again throughout the year, The colored pencils, writing paper will allow the student s to create a story and write about it. I would feel extremely Blessed and grateful for my students and their families if they were able to get the materials they need to participate and learn. Writing is an extremely difficult skill to learn if you do not have the materials that are essential to learn. Our parents have been struggling to make ends meet since Covid-19 closed down our schools in March. Providing materials to our families during this difficult time would help ease the burden on parents. When students have the resources they need, they make more progress by being engaged in learning. Children learn best through active engagement. This project will reinforce writing skills learned during virtual class.
