I am a school based Occupational Therapist. I travel around my school district providing on-site therapy services to over 45 students throughout the week. My students have a wide range of abilities, fine motor needs, sensory needs, and interest. My Therapy supplies and tools are in need of a major upgrade to keep my students excited and engaged. Due to the fact that I have to pull students from their classes I try to incorporate learning where ever I can. We read stories, count, identify colors, shapes, build, and create all while developing fine motor skills. The writing paper and hands weights aide in better handwriting. The stacking, and building toys help with hand strength and dexterity. Many of my students have sensory needs and its great to have sensory toys they can play with to reward them between tasks. Tongs make sorting fun while working on hand strength. I'm so excited for my students to build letters in a fun and interactive way with the OSMO junior! I know my students will have fun using their fine motor skills to make some Christmas crafts this year. I can't wait to see how much progress my students will make with all of these great new resources!
