A year of quarantine has left many students feeling isolated, craving to work with other students, and in some cases underdeveloped communication skills. Our students need to practice the skill of collaboration now more than ever. Collaborating as a team is an imperative skill our students need to know in order to be prepared for college and their future careers. Our students now have their own laptops; however, sharing project research, notes, and their finished product with their teammates can sometimes be difficult on their small screens. This media table will allow each student to share their work with their team on the big screen with the touch of a button. It will be easier for everyone to focus on the same aspect at the same time, make changes together, and complete a more cohesive project. Since this media table will be in the library, it will be available for scheduled use by the entire student body. This project will be the first step in transforming our library into the creative, collaboration, and information hub our students need.
