We really need oil pastels to do an art project with a Banyan tree. Prior to our art, we will read about banyan trees and their importance in the ecosystem. We will learn about how these trees impact the environment and how the environment impacts them. Then we will use oil pastels in order to create a black silhouetted tree that is highlighted with vibrant colors that reflect in a pool of water with colorful ripples. During the project, we will focus on the skills of negative space, blending, and creating a reflection in the water with the oil pastels. Art takes away stress, calms you down, and your art makes you feel unique cause it's your own special art that you created.
