My classroom library has always been important to me. I've tried to provide a variety of books to my students focusing on both genre selections and book levels. However with limited funding, garage sales have been my best friend! Students have always admired my library, but through the years, it's taken a hit. Since most of my books have been second hand, they've fallen apart due to age and/or years of heavy use. With a library of new additions, my students will be encouraged to explore new books, series, and genres. There is nothing like the feeling of diving into a new book - and that's just what I'm hoping to provide to my students. I've selected books with a focus on the interests of my students while placing attention to variety. I'm excited to be able to provide my students with more independent reading opportunities "Children who love reading have everything within their reach."
