These counseling materials and activities will help students get away from their chaotic home lives and sometimes rigorous classrooms. My kids often come to my office to vent and receive encouragement.. It helps for them to engage in a meaningful and memorable conversation while playing a fun board game or relaxing their hands with some kinetic sand. Some of these items will be used for my "Calm Corner" where students who are experiencing intense feelings of sadness or anger come to cool down and get their mind away from a situation. These items are also good fidget toys for students who have a hard time paying attention and staying still and focused. I will use these items in my classroom when I have small groups and individual counseling.
