Because of COVID-19, we are unable to have our normal choir experience in 6th grade. Instead, we have chosen to do an Orff Xylophone Ensemble! These students are in need of music that is interesting and accessible to them. I have a limited selection but have almost gone through it all. Teacher Pay Teachers has an amazing list of resources for Orff, and I would love to use them. I already have a few resources bookmarked that teach things like dynamics, musical form, care and technique for the instrument, performance etiquette, aesthetic valuation, music literacy, tempo, and complex rhythms. I am super excited to get started with this!
