This classroom planetarium will allow students to be immersed in an environment at school they have never seen before. At 16 feet wide and 10 feet tall, you can fit an entire classroom inside to watch videos, look at sky maps, and explore star charts. If you have been to a real planetarium, you know it's a wonderful experience. Many of the students at our school may not get an opportunity to go to a planetarium. With this classroom planetarium, they will be able to experience that sense of awe and wonder that planetariums bring to so many, right here at school. Students will have the opportunity to build the entire thing. They will follow the blueprint, cut the cardboard, form the proper hexagons and pentagons to make the dome, and experience a real planetarium. The sky is a wonder to many, and, with a planetarium in the classroom, we will be able to bring that wonder to many students here at school.
