I would love to be able to teach this book with my students to give them a varying perspective on the American Revolution. Students have enjoyed this series in the past, and I hope to make cross-curricular connections with our social studies content! In addition to this aspect, Chains provides a window into another time period as well as another culture while still considering the history through a girl the same age. Students learn by connecting and understanding varying perspectives, and I believe this book will encourage students to look at history from another lense.
