My students are learning about careers in lodging and restaurants so they can get jobs in the near future. They are building their skills so they will be qualified to be hired. Students in special education have an opportunity to take a HospitAbilities certification test provided by the Oklahoma Restaurant Association to earn a qualification certificate so they can get jobs. This project will help them build their knife skills with the chef and paring knives, front of the house and catering skills by learning to roll silverware and hotel lodging skills for folding towels.
