I teach 17 amazing 1st grade students in MD, and this is my first year in my new classroom. I work in a Title I school with children who often struggle both in and out of school with various challenges like food insecurity, academics, behavioral and social concerns, and trauma. I want to make sure my students have what they need to be supported everyday and to feel loved. Many projects for our class center around our food and nutrition needs, and providing basic tools for success like supplies, clothing, and weekend meals. We also love books, and spend a lot of time improving our library!

About my class
