The furniture in my classroom is always left-overs from years and years of discarded things. I've just taken what I've been given, or could find in the wealthy neighborhoods' bulk trash. Really! I did get a teaching table after about four years of asking for one. The PTO funded it for me. I really need a classroom where the configuration can be changed according to my safety/educational needs. I had three big rectangular tables, at which I seated from six to eight students. Obviously, those tables will not work as we head back into the classroom this year. The students, if we can get this project funded, will be able to learn in rows for direct instruction, and in collaborative groups when it's safe. The environment would go from blah to WOW, and my students will feel important enough to have something nice in their environment! Imagine how many students will be impacted by this - unless things change, school furniture lasts for around 30 years - so almost 1000 children will use these things if you get them for us, now!
